Terrain Visualization using VTK - Oct '05

       
This is a simple terrain visualization I did to familiarize myself a little with the Visualization Toolkit (VTK). It was done for a Scientific Visualization class at University of Illinois. I used a DEM file from the USGS database and constructed the image from screenshots using Google Earth. I then applied the DEM file as a displacement map on a plane and projected the image on top of it. The DEM file and image overlay are shown above.
