Maya Cloth Simulation - Nov '05



After encountering some problems with painted textures when animating, we made the decision to use cloth for our short film. I have been experimenting a lot with the cloth effects in Maya Unlimited, this is one of my first cloth demos on our character. The animation includes some motion capture data applied in Motion Builder and then imported back to Maya to apply the cloth simulation. The textures here will change and I still need to play with some parameters, but the overall result is quite effective.

Above animation is slow motion (15 fps) to observe the effect better. Also available in 30 fps.
